As a Domiciliary Optometrist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals who may have difficulty visiting traditional optometry practices, ensuring they receive personalized, professional, and compassionate care. On a typical day, you will see an average of 6-7 patients per day in their homes or up to 16 patients in a care home setting. You'll enjoy full flexibility to conduct tests and manage your clinic without commercial pressures. You will also be provided with state-of-the-art tools, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer, retinoscope, and an advanced digital records system that eliminates paperwork, all conveniently packed in a lightweight case.

Key Duties

* Conducting thorough eye examinations, including prescribing corrective lenses, and identifying potential eye health issues.
* Have a real passion in providing strong levels of customer care and professional excellence
* Ensure that you provide good levels of customer service to customers at all times
* Clinic hours are 9am - 5.30pm however you must be willing to travel up to a 50 miles radius from home address (roughly 1 hour travel radius with some days possibly less and some day possibly slightly more etc) and be confident to drive in both built up areas and on motorways
* Offering a compassionate and patient centred approach, particularly when working with individuals who may require extra care and support during the examination process.
* Take a hands-on approach and be keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team
* 3 to 5 days a week is required with no weekend or bank holiday work included

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
