Independent Practice, Optometrist Role, Midsomer Norton, 2-5 days per week, Base Salary up to £60,000

Are you looking to take the next step in your career? Perhaps look at being more than an Optometrist? Then this maybe the opportunity for you, we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Optometrist to join our thriving team in Midsomer Norton.

The well established practice itself is a busy one, but it's main values are to provide a wide range of services to it's patients and more importantly doing this to a very high standard.

Having said this, they have two modern consulting rooms with fantastic levels of equipment such as OCT, Humphreys visual fields, Pulse Air, slit lamp, and more. They also follow the theme of high end with testing times at 30-40 minutes, which thus enables you the Optometrist to really build a relationship with the patient and make a genuine positive impact within the local area.

The town of Midsomer Norton is a beautiful place to work in with it nestled in a valley, surrounded by hills and rolling countryside and with the River Somer running through the town center, it's truly idyllic. There is also plenty to do with a range of shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafes, as well as several parks and green spaces, including a Wildlife Park. The area is also home to a number of local walking and cycling routes as well.

Key Duties

* The role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis
* The role does requires some weekend work which only until 2pm on alternate Saturdays.
* Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to identify any vision problems or ocular diseases
* Prescribe corrective lenses, such as glasses or contact lenses, as necessary
* Provide advice and guidance to patients on maintaining good eye health
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care to patients
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
* Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in optometry

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

* You must be a Qualified Optometry
* Registration with the General Optical Council (GOC)
