Pharmacy Dispenser Required, Kirkconnel, Dumfries & Galloway

Exciting opportunity to join an award-winning pharmacy group as a Pharmacy Dispenser.

Our aim is to progress you on your journey as a qualified dispenser and allow you to grow with us. If you have been qualified for 2 years or more then we have a new course that will allow you to progress to a checking dispenser. If you are under 2 years then we will look to progress you once you hit 2 years of being qualified.

(Occasional Support may be required for our Cumnock Pharmacy)

Key Duties

* Full Time Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm - 37.5hrs p/w
* Dispense prescription medication and pharmaceutical products to patients
* Prepare prescriptions by counting pills, labelling bottles and compounding medications
* Carry out administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy
* Gather, organise and assess patient information, maintain electronic patient information, and receive and input prescription orders

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

* UK registration on GPhC
* Ensure compliance by monitoring the prescription-filing process
* Inform and educate patients, answering their questions and offering advice
* Liaise directly with healthcare providers and patients
