This unique pharmacy manager role is described as 'hybrid', and will predominantly include all aspects of running a thriving community pharmacy, whilst supporting some clinical aspects of being within an established GP healthcare centre in Acomb, York.

The pharmacy is one of 3 award-winning independent pharmacy groups, which prides itself on excellent customer service and innovating the role of community pharmacy. It specialises in medicines management and supply within a variety of healthcare settings; holding contracts in hospital wards, care homes, prison and hospices.

* 30+hrs available however, this could be increased to full time.

Predominantly Monday 8am-6pm; Tuesday 8am-6pm; Friday 8am-6pm.
Hours can be discussed at interview.
There is the opportunity to work additionally at the pharmacy on Saturday/Sunday in shifts currently worked by locums.
Suitable for an experienced pharmacist manager who is looking for a new challenge.

Key Duties

* Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the pharmacy and staff, to ensure smooth running of all tasks and services;
* Role-modelling excellent customer service;
* Drive the numbers, oversee services, and look for new business development opportunities for growth;
* Handle day-to-day staffing queries as they arise;
* Support and mentor the team with training needs/courses;
* Work with the Superintendent/pharmacy manager to progress Company-wide initiatives and priorities

* Effective leadership skills to motivate and guide the large team while on shift in branch;
* Excellent communication skills both internally with staff and externally with patients and other healthcare professionals;
* Love of community pharmacy and being a patient-centric healthcare provider;
* Confidence to problem solve and make autonomous decisions;
* Ability to work as part of a multi-skilled large team.
