HEAD DENTAL NURSE, BECKENHAM

This specialist practice is the practice patients come to for more complex and challenging dental work, undertaken by a team of dental specialists who are not only constantly updating their skills but also teaching the next generation of dentists. Their forward-thinking and committed practice specializes in a wide range of dental treatments from Dental hygienist, Specialist Prosthodontists, Specialist Endodontist and Specialist Periodontist.

•This is a role for a lead nurse who will be required to manage a team of highly experienced nurses in a private specialist practice while the practice manager manages the practice.
Strong leadership skills are a must to be successful in this role.

•Qualified head nurse experience/experience in compliance and management

Full time, Monday to Friday
Monday 08.00 - 17.30
Tuesday 08.00 - 18.00
Wednesday 08.00 - 17.30
Thursday 08.00 - 17.30
Friday 08.00 - 17.00
Hours per week: 43

•£16 - £17ph

•What the role involves
•Understand the vision and brand message for the practice, and deliver outstanding customer service experiences
•Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
•As a lead or head dental nurse you will be responsible for managing and mentoring the team of experienced dental nurses, delegating tasks responsibly
•Keeping on top of clinical compliance and stock budget
•Providing the highest standard of clinical support to our dentists and specialists
•Perform top quality dental nursing in all procedures in a safe and effective manner when nursing duties are required
•Prepare equipment, materials, lab work and patients with efficiency and empathy
•Provide outstanding customer service at all times
•Any other ad hoc responsibilities as reasonably requested

•What we need from you
•Maintain professional indemnity and registration with the GDC
•Comply with the ‘Code of Ethics’ of the British Association of Dental Nurses
•Undertake CPD in line with the GDC guidelines
•Knowledge of CQC and compliance
•Excellent clinical, organization, strong leadership and interpersonal skills
•Friendly and welcoming manner
•Strong teamwork ability with an enthusiastic attitude
•Proficient user of the requisite dental software
•Vaccinated against Hepatitis B and Covid-19
