Locum GP 12 month Maternity Cover, Paignton, Devon

We are looking for a locum GP to cover a 12-month maternity contract at a Paignton based practice working with a friendly, supportive and forward-thinking team.

We are looking for maternity cover for a list holding locum GP to work with a friendly, supportive and forward-thinking team. The practice is a team focused on maintaining a sustainable and enjoyable work environment.

We are committed to finding the right person for this role and are flexible regarding sessions/days worked, encouraging professional development.

We are currently embracing change, adapting and evolving through the Covid-19 Pandemic with patients being managed through telephone and video consultations along with e-Consult.

Patients are seen face-to-face where these tools are not appropriate. A typical "pre-Covid-19" session consisted of 14 face-to-face appointments with a mixture of 15-minute routine slots and on-the-day triaged appointments. Duty surgeries are carried out in pairs.

Paramedics undertake the vast majority of the home visits and the prescribing Pharmacist team manages medication queries and reviews, along with repeat prescriptions.

The practice aims to finish daily by 6pm, operate an 'open doors' policy and there are regular educational meetings and socials throughout the year.

So, this role would be the ideal opportunity for a locum GP who is looking for a regular and stable set of sessions in a well-supported, close-knit team.

Sessional/Hourly Rate

£60,000 per annum (negotiable)

* Must be registered with the GMC and on the GP Performers List
* Must hold valid DBS and eligibility to work in the UK
