Dental Nurse (61175)

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Dental Nurse to join this well established, Independent, family run clinic located in the beautiful area of Poole - Dorset.

The practice has been established for over 40 years offering Private Treatment, Dental Plans and a very Small Contract on the NHS.

This clinic are currently looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join their team on a Full-time basis however, they will consider Part time applicants.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours:
Monday to Wednesday 8:30 am to 5:30pm
Thursday 8:30am- 6:30pm
Friday 8:30am to 3pm

Responsibilities will include:
-To perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting the Dentists or Hygienist
-Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned
-Take all reasonable methods to ensure patient comfort
-Work in a safe and effective manner in accordance with CQC/GDC requirements
-To ensure that the surgical areas and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained
-Updating patient records
-Decontamination of instruments
-To assist at reception and perform other clerical duties as required
-Follow all practice policies and procedures
-Undertake all mandatory training courses and maintain statutory obligation

Requirements:
-Certification in Dental Nursing
-GDC registered with a PDP, along with regular CPD
-Organised, diligent and IT literate
-Positive, friendly and warm-natured manner
-Can show a sense of urgency on behalf of patients and actions
-Shows initiative, confidence and enthusiasm
-Be willing and open to learning new methods/skills
-Be flexible
-Successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic
-Organised and always one step ahead of given tasks.

This is a well established 3 surgery dental practice, located across a three storey building. Modern surgeries and dental software systems including Clinipads, Cerec and EMS, CBCT Scanners, Digital Xrays, OPG. Air flow , Decontamination room including DAC, Washer disinfector .

Practice is fully computerised using SOE.

Practice is very safe to work in. They have taken all precautions, air purifier in place, separate room to change in/out of uniform, All PEP in place.

Fully supportive team on hand with qualified nurses and Hygienists.

As well as general Dentistry, this practice also offers Teeth Whitening and Facial Aesthetics, Preventative Dentistry , Cosmetic Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry.

All candidates must be fully qualified and GDC registered with UK experience.

Patients are required to wait outside and use intercom system to gain access, all wear face masks, Fit testing and PPE provided. Clear screens in use on reception. Filtration systems and hand gel through-out the practice. Strict Policies and Procedures.
