I am seeking a passionate, experienced Senior Occupational Therapist who has experience working in Mental Health and or with children and adolescents. If you are looking for a new exciting position to apply your skills and knowledge then this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

My client is a well known psychiatric hospital based in South Dublin who pride themselves on bringing healing, care and wholeness to those who have mental illness or psychological or emotional problems.

Successful applicants will have:

* Degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Experience in Mental health & Children and Adolescents is desirable
* Proven ability to manage a case load independently.
* Creativity, practicality, and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to multitask and work under pressure.
* A professional and compassionate approach, coupled with the capacity to keep client information private.
* Effective communication & organisational skills.

Duties:

1 Take responsibility for the development , service delivery and management of the Occupational Therapy Service within the hospital's Young Persons unit.
2 To be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to create person centered care plans and establishing person centered treatment goals, communicating and working in co-operation with other disciplines and attend case conferences and Team meetings as necessary.
3 To assess and plan person centered group and individual occupational therapy treatment programs for the young people within the dept., and to be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of such programs/ individual interventions which may be carried out and or facilitated by the Occupational Therapist or other appropriate staff (instructors etc
4 To direct and supervise Basic Grade Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy students as appropriate.
5 To take responsibility for and participate in departmental and multidisciplinary clinical audits as designated by the Head Occupational Therapist.
