We are working with one of the most respected brands in the medical device industry who are looking for a talented commercial professional to join them and manage a high performing team of contracts & commercial specialists.

You will take a key lead in managing this busy part of the business, influencing change and driving efficiencies while being an inspirational leader! This is a new growth position.

People management experience of 3 years is required for the role.

Direct experience of working in contracts and tender is essential - 3 years plus.

Key Duties

* Responsible for the management and leadership of the Tenders, Contracts and Pricing function with 6 direct FTE and 3 temporary reports
* Direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of Commercial Services Team Leader, Tenders & Contracts Specialists and Contracts & Pricing Administrators
* Responsible for the management of the Tenders & Contracts Specialists to ensure the coordination and management of bid responses and submission of all Tenders and Request for Proposals (including framework offerings)
* Responsible for the management of the Contracts & Pricing Administrator(s) (1 FTE and 2 temporary roles) to ensure the administration of all pricing and contract queries in accordance with agreed SOPs and SLA
* Responsible for ensuring all pricing activities are carried out in accordance with SOX regulations
* Oversees Contract Monitoring program and oversees consistency in pricing policies across all routes to market
* Report monthly on Commercial Services team metrics and other outputs as required
* Provide management oversight from a Commercial Services perspective in any Integration activities
* Support in the development of bid text and content for submissions; driving maintenance of the Tender Library and standard collateral
* Supports with the implementation and development of tender and contract tools and templates
* Support Commercial Services Manager in strategic projects
* Maintains highest levels of engagement across the team and supports with their development

Package and Benefits

* £50-65k Basic
* Year one on target bonus 13% but uncapped
* Pension, training, medical

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

Experience required:

* Degree level preferable but not essential
* 3 Years Tender, contract management experience or similar Business Services/operations role essential
* Experience managing a team within the Med Tech environment will be an advantage
* Good knowledge base on the NHS Procurement landscape and Future Operating Model essential
* Strong collaborator and communicator across complex matrix organizations with the ability to build trust and influence senior stakeholders
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Ad hoc travel may be required

Any other aptitude / skill required:

* Can-do attitude and willing to learn/develop
* High attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and strong writing/bid text authoring skills
* Proficient at using Microsoft Excel and managing large volumes of data
* Highly disciplined individual who can work to deadlines
* Highly organized
* Articulate and numerical
* Team player - diplomatic but also focused on hitting deadlines in high pressure environment
