How much will it cost me the candidate?
The service is free to you, there is no charge however much you use the site or restriction or the number of jobs you can apply for.
How can I receive jobs by e-mail?
When you register you will be asked if you wish to receive Jobs by email, if you select yes then you will automatically receive alerts from us, they will be sent from the categories you have selected in your profile.
Can you sign up for Jobs by email when you register?
From the candidate home page, click on “My Jobs by Email subscriptions”. You can set up & save your Jobs by Email searches.
How can I update my CV?
From the candidate home page, click on “Upload new CV”. You can also activate & deactivate your CV here. You can also add synopsis of your CV here too.
How do I stop my jobsbyemail?
From the candidate home page, click on “My Jobs by Email subscriptions”. Untick the “Jobs by Email” box.
Are jobs4medical a recruitment agency?
No, Jobs4Medical is an online jobs board, who works with recruiters to advertise their jobs. We provide the facility for jobs to be advertised and candidates can apply.
Can I send jobs4medical my CV?
If you are having difficulty uploading your CV then send you can send it to
info@jobs4medical.co.uk in a word document and we will upload it for you. We will not submit your CV for any jobs.
Can I view my sent applications?
Yes, these can be viewed in your account. Please login, go to the candidate home page and click on “My Job Applications”.
How do I gain feedback from my application?
Once you have applied for a job, your CV is sent to the recruiter who posted the vacancy. They should then contact you directly regarding your application. You can follow up your application by contacting the recruiter directly. In some vacancies the telephone number will be listed if not then the company name can be found above the job description on our site.
How do I apply for a job?
You need to be registered and logged in, with an up to date CV in your profile to apply. When you see a job that you are interested in just click on the green “Apply Now” button on the right of the screen. You will be able to add a cover letter if you want to. There is also the facility to add a different CV at the point. Once you have completed the job application click “Apply Now” once more to send your CV directly to the recruiter.
I have more questions about the job, can I talk to someone?
Jobs4medical will not have any further information than you see on the site. We suggest either, asking your questions in the cover letter area, asking the recruiter to contact you when you apply. Or it is possible to contact the recruiter directly, they will either have listed contact details in their vacancy description or you can see the company name above the job description.
How do I confirm my application has been sent?
Please login and select the Candidate Home Page, then and click on “My Job Applications”. If it is not displayed in this list, the application did not go through to the recruiter and they will not have your CV.
Can I apply without a CV?
No, an application cannot be submitted without uploading your CV.
I have submitted an application but have not had a response.
Due to the volume of applications sometimes recruiters are unable to contact unsuccessful candidates. You can follow up with a phone call to the company who posted the vacancy on our site.
Why isn't salary information displayed in the job I want to apply for?
Some recruiters do not feel it is appropriate to list this information alongside their job postings. You can ask this question in your cover letter when you apply.
Do I have to do a cover letter with my applications?
No cover letters are optional.
Why should I send a cover letter with my application?
A cover letter is an opportunity for you to highlight any particular skills you feel you have that would be particularly relevant to the job you are applying for. It is also a useful place to ask any questions you may have for the recruiter.
Can I apply for the same job more than once?
No, the site will not allow you to apply for the same job twice.
I don't have time to apply now, can I save a job I have found?
Yes, if you are logged in you can save jobs to your wish list by clicking on the green “Add to Wish List” on the right hand side of the screen.
How long should I wait before I follow up my application with the recruiter?
If you haven't heard anything within a three/four weeks, then it is worth contacting the recruiter directly to check the status of your application.
Can I search jobs without being registered?
Yes you can, but you cannot submit an application until you have registered and have uploaded your CV.
Why do I need to register?
When you register, your details are saved securely for you to use when you apply for a job that you find on jobs4medical. It also allows the site to send you suitable jobs by e-mail.
