Job Code : Respiratory Technician Dublin West Our prestigious client is a hospital located in West Dublin. Their specialised medical teams provide medical, surgical and advanced radiotherapy care to patients and are supported by the very latest medical technology. They are currently seeking a Chief 1 Respiratory Technician to join their expanding team.


Chief I Respiratory Technician


This position has responsibility for overseeing the execution of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory in an efficient and patient centered manner while finding ways to drive change within an evolving Respiratory Department.



This is a new position in an expanding department with very significant clinical duties and a track record and commitment to research and teaching. The position affords a unique opportunity to a suitable candidate to set up and develop a modern Lung Function Laboratory and advise on necessary equipment and personnel. In addition to the routine duties of the position, the job offers very significant opportunities for research and teaching to suitable candidates.



The position reports to the CEO for strategic issues and the Consultant in Charge on Clinical management of the department. The position will also work closely with the Director of Clinical Services on general issues affecting Clinical Services Health.



The successful candidate must:





Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement or an equivalent qualification.

Have at least five years post graduate experience.

Be a member of the Association of Respiratory Technicians of Ireland.

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
