Home Manager required for Medium sized Nursing Home in Huddersfield providing care for the elderly within an Nursing home some experience of Dementia would be beneficial also.
A strong candidate is needed to take over this role of Manager. Experience within a similar role is essential as a strong leader whom is assertive is essential to succeed in this role. The home is fully staffed, occupancy is good and admissions are regular but it needs constant marketing to maintain acceptable levels.
You will be responsible to take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the nursing home and the general well-being of Clients and Staff Members. To ensure that all Company policies and procedures, and all legal requirements are adhered to within the defined timescales.
You must hold a relevant Nursing qualification, have previous management experience and preferably hold the Registered Managers Award or equivalent care management qualification.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Through continuous assessment and supervision, ensure all Staff Members maintain high standards, and contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the home
• Assess social needs of prospective Clients in a Nursing Care setting, and subsequently monitor the planning and on-going evaluation of care.
• Monitor Care Plan documentation & undertake weekly review to ensure best practice.
• Undertake general nursing & personal care as appropriate to Clients’ needs.
• Liaise with the Activities Co-ordinator, Clients, Relatives and other Staff Members in the development of activities for Clients, which will enhance their quality of life.
• Produce reports (verbal or written) as and when required.
• Manage and maintain agreed budgets, in conjunction with the Operations Manager – work and manage the home in line with allocated budget.
