Why do I need to register?

When you register, your details are saved securely for you to use when you apply for a job that you find on jobs4medical.
How much will it cost me the candidate?
A
The service is free to you, there is no charge however much you use the site or restriction on the number of jobs you can apply for.
Will my contact details be visible?
A
You're contact details will only be sent when you click on the apply button and send your application to a recruiter.
Can I search jobs without being registered?
A
Yes you can, but you cannot submit an application until you have registered and uploaded a CV.
How can I receive jobs by e-mail?
A
When you register you will be asked if you wish to receive Jobsbyemail, if you select yes then you will automatically receive alerts from us, they will be sent from the categories you have selected in your profile.
Can I contact Jobs4Medical?

The Jobs4Medical team is here to provide all the assistance you need. You can either phone us on 0845 0956274 or e-mail us at queries@jobs4medical.co.uk and we will gladly answer any questions you may have.
How can I update my CV?
A
You can update your CV at anytime by uploading a new document over the previous one. If you go to 'my profile' Step 3 you will see the field 'upload a CV - browse'. When you click browse you will be presented with a list of the documents saved to your computer, at this point you can select the newer version and it will overtype the previous one.
How do I stop my jobsbyemail?

To suspend your jobsbyemail please send an email to us at info@jobs4medical.co.uk with 'unsubscribe' as the title.
CV confidentiality, how is this handled?
A
Your CV is completely confidential, it is saved on a secure server and can only be viewed by you using your login details. Recruiters are not allowed to search for candidates in our database so they will only be able to view your CV if you actually apply for a vacancy found on jobs4medical.
Are jobs4medical a recruitment agency?

No, Jobs4Medical is an online jobs board, who works with recruiters to advertise their jobs. We provide the facility for jobs to be advertised and candidates can apply.
Who will see my CV?
A
No one will see your CV unless you login and apply for a position, at which time your CV will be sent to the recruiter who posted the vacancy via email. The recruiter will then review your CV and contact you if they wish to proceed to the next stage. We do encourage recruiters to contact every candidate whether they are successful or not, but sometimes this proves impossible due to the level of responses received for some vacancies.
How does my CV get submitted to suitable vacancies?

You must apply to any vacancy that you'd like your CV to be passed on to. Jobs4Medical DO NOT send on your CV on to anyone. You must be proactive and instigate this yourself by applying to vacancies. Once you have applied you will receive a confirmation email from jobs4medical acknowledging your application has been sent.
Will recruiters find my CV?

No, you must choose to apply for a vacancy and go through the short application process.
Can I send jobs4medical my CV?
A
If you are having difficulty uploading your CV then send you can send it to info@jobs4medical.co.uk in a word document and we will upload it for you. We will not submit your CV for any jobs.
Can I view my sent applications?
A
Yes, these can be viewed in your account. Please login and select the 'applications' tab and then 'my sent applications'
How do I gain feedback from my application?

Once you have applied for a job, your CV is sent to the recruiter who posted the vacancy. They should then contact you directly regarding your application. You can follow up your application by contacting the recruiter directly. In some vacancies the telephone number will be listed if not then the company name can be found above the job description on our site.
How long should I wait before I follow up my application with the recruiter?

If you haven't heard anything within a week, then it is worth contacting the recruiter directly to check the status of your application.
How do I apply for a job?

You need to be registered and logged in, with an up to date CV in your profile to apply. When all the information is complete you will see a red 'apply/start application' button within the vacancy description. You can then complete the optional cover letter, and click 'send application'.
I have more questions about the job, can I talk to someone?

Jobs4medical will not have any further information than you see on the site. We suggest either, asking your questions in the cover letter area, asking the recruiter to contact you when you apply. Or it is possible to contact the recruiter directly, they will either have listed contact details in their vacancy description or you can see the company name above the job description.
How do I confirm my application has been sent?

Please login and select the 'applications' tab and then 'my sent applications'. If it is not displayed in this list, the application did not go through to the recruiter and they will not have your CV.
Can I apply without a CV?
A
No, an application cannot be submitted without uploading your CV.
I have submitted an application but have not had a response.

We suggest you check your application was sent successfully in the 'applications tab' once you have logged in. Due to the volume of applications sometimes recruiters are unable to contact unsuccessful candidates. You can follow up with a phone call to the company who posted the vacancy on our site.
Why isn't salary information displayed in the job I want to apply for?

Some recruiters do not feel it is appropriate to list this information alongside their job postings. You can ask this question in your cover letter when you apply.
Do I have to do a cover letter with my applications?
A
No cover letters are optional.
Why should I send a cover letter with my application?
A
A cover letter is an opportunity for you to highlight any particular skills you feel you have that would be particulary relevant to the job you are applying for. It is also a useful place to ask any questions you may have for the recruiter.
Can I apply for the same job more than once?
A
No, the site will not allow you to apply for the same job twice.
I don't have time to apply now, can I save a job I have found?
A
Yes, if you are logged in you can save jobs to your shortlist, by selecting the red 'shortlist job' button.

Are Jobs4Medical linked to a recruitment agency?

No, Jobs4Medical is an independent private company who is not linked to any clients or organisations.
Are we Government funded?
A
We are a private company, but we work with many government organisations.
How much will it cost me the client?

There will be a cost attributed to posting a job on the jobs4medical site. For further details and exact costs please contact the Jobs4Medical team who will be happy to help. What happens if I need to ask some more questions?

Do the candidates contact details remain confidential?

The candidate should put their contact details within their profile and on their CV, these will be sent on the email alert. We will never disclose these details without the candidates prior consent.
How do I cancel my email alerts?
A
You will only be sent update emails or details with special offers on. If you no longer wish to receive any communciation from jobs4medical please email us at info@jobs4medical.co.uk and we can remove you from our database.
How long will a job remain active?
A
Normally each job posting package lasts for 30 days, but it entirely up to you, you can choose for the job to be posted for any length of time, or you can continue to advertise for longer by contacting the team.
Can I search the CV database?
A
No, our database is secure and cannot be searched by anyone. Candidates must choose to apply for any vacancies they are interested in. At which point you will receive their CV.
